The speciality coffee industry has been at a crossroads for some time now.  Espresso and gourmet “specialty coffee” has become a mainstream phenomenon. Along with that popularity, profitability and marketplace competition, has come a growing threat to the survival of traditional coffeehouses.  Many of the best of the old classic coffeehouses have provided “habitats” for authentic community gathering and wonderful venues for music and the arts and community groups.

It is the purpose of the Espresso Guild to develop special programs and services that help these classic coffeehouses survive and flourish. Along with “Habitat for Community”, the sister organization of the Espresso Guild, we foster more authentic coffeehouses that revitalize individuals and local communities.
